Exercise Physiology & Rehabilitation
Exercise Physiology and gym-based rehabilitation programs are often provided on an individual basis initially, with the aim of progressively transitioning clients to an independent exercise program with intermittent reviews.
Our Exercise Physiologists develop tailored programs that accommodate each client’s individual injury, physical capacity, rehabilitation goals and other commitments. This flexible approach allows clients to build strength, mobility, endurance and confidence while progressing safely towards greater independence.
Programs may incorporate functional restoration and work conditioning, with exercises specifically selected to reflect the physical demands of a client’s daily activities, work or desired level of function.
At NGOM, we also provide Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCEs) to objectively assess and measure a worker’s physical capacity. These assessments can assist in determining functional abilities, identifying physical limitations and supporting rehabilitation, return-to-work planning and appropriate workplace recommendations.
