Dr Meenu Shunmugam is an accomplished Spinal Orthopaedic Surgeon, trained in Australia and New Zealand in Adult and Paediatric Spinal Surgery.
Meenu joins the Second Opinion Medicine team of at Next Gen consults out of our Mile End clinic, conducting Second Opinion Medicine Assessments for injured workers with spinal injuries conditions.
Her approach to spinal care is centered on dedicating time to her patients, actively listening to their concerns, and ensuring they fully understand their condition and treatment options.
She has a special interest in endoscopic, minimally invasive and paediatric spine pathologies. She currently holds positions at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and Women’s and Children’s Hospital.
Meenu also consults from her Wakefield Street rooms, where she sees her private and pre-operative patients.
Dr. Meenu offers excellent availability and prompt turnaround times for assessments and reports, ensuring injured workers receive the best care and results.
Outside of work, Meenu enjoys travelling, food, hiking and going to the gym.
